The inspiration to start a chocolate and gelato company came while on holiday one summer, after enjoying homemade ice cream in the sun whilst sitting by a beautiful lake with a bottle of wine.


In January and April 2018, I attended two Masterclasses with Peebles-based UK World Chocolate Master, Ruth Hinks. She helped me begin to understand the technical side to chocolate making and how to develop my own range. I am now constantly working on new additions and improvements to the artisan chocolate and gelato ranges at Cocolato.

In November 2019, I opened a chocolate shop in Marple, which is just on the edge of the beautiful Peak District but only a 20 minute train journey from Manchester city centre. This shop is now temporarily closed as I am relocating to Topsham, Devon. I hope to be open again for summer 2024.


We will then continue to sell our range of handmade chocolates and gelato, all freshly made on site.


We will be open on Thursday and Friday afternoons and Saturday. This allows me to make fresh chocolates and gelato at the beginning of each week. From June to mid September we are also open on Sundays.
