CocoLato
The inspiration to start a chocolate and gelato company came while on holiday one summer, after enjoying homemade ice cream in the sun whilst sitting by a beautiful lake with a bottle of wine.
In January and April 2018, I attended two Masterclasses with Peebles-based UK World Chocolate Master, Ruth Hinks. She helped me begin to understand the technical side to chocolate making and how to develop my own range. I am now constantly working on new additions and improvements to the artisan chocolate and gelato ranges at Cocolato.
In November 2019, I opened a chocolate shop in Marple, which is just on the edge of the beautiful Peak District but only a 20 minute train journey from Manchester city centre. Here I grew the range and introduced the gelato, freshly made on site.
In May 2024, I relocated to Topsham, Devon and moved to a slightly larger shop where I continue to make all chocolates and gelato on site and we also sell freshly made coffee and cakes.
